From September 12 to 15, 2023, Vienna’s leading art fair invited visitors to the magnificent halls of Kursalon Wien, where 61 international galleries from 19 countries presented exciting newcomers, established galleries and carefully curated special exhibitions with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe.

With the thematic focus STATEMENT: POLITICAL HOMELESSNESS AND CONTEMPORARY CITIZENSHIP, viennacontemporary addressed the question of how art and culture serve as a means of public expression where political rights are lacking in an international panel discussion and the special exhibition “Not Either Or, But And”.

With the new Sculpture project, viennacontemporary supports contemporary art in public spaces and with VCT ACTIVATION, viennacontemporary dedicated a new program item to the growing dialogue between art and the virtual world.

A varied program with special exhibitions such as ZONE1 and guided tours, collaborations with the many great surrounding galleries, renowned museums, charming cafés and important cultural institutions, a kids‘ program and a comprehensive talks format rounded off the unique art experience in the heart of Vienna.
